Sleaford care home finished and plans approved for expansion
Construction of a specialist, state-of-the-art, nursing and dementia care home in Sleaford, designed by York-based DWA Architects, has just been completed and planning permission has been granted to build another 20 bedrooms to the home.
Designed on behalf of the Glenholme Senior Living, and built by construction company Goldfinch Developments, Holdingham Grange is a £5.2 million, specialist care development. The recent planning permission will result in the facility having a total of 84 beds, to meet the recognised growing need in the local area.
Guided by the principle that a care home should enhance life, the spacious and luxurious design features a cinema, hair salon, and café bar. Each bedroom has an en-suite wet-room and a perimeter corridor outside most rooms, giving access and views of the large central landscaped courtyard.
Commenting David Ward, Managing Director of DWA Architects, said: “This has been a great project to work on, providing a leading edge care design. With the main building being recently completed, along with the new planning permission, it will ensure it can meet the needs of the local area for many years to come.”
