Alpha Building, Brixton

About this project

The Alpha Building, previously Santley Primary School, is a Grade II Listed Victorian School which has been converted and extended to provide forty two loft style apartments each with bedroom accommodation on a mezzanine deck.

In addition to the main school building the “teachers block” was converted and extended to form five, three storey town houses. The “kitchen block” was converted to two apartments and the original school playground now accommodates thirteen, three storey town houses.

The complex and its respective development has achieved much publicity and was chosen to feature on the front of Timeout magazine as the archetypical and greatly encouraged refurb project for an area such as this in the Capital.
