Planning approval for a 40 bed care home in Urmston
We have recently received planning permission for a 40 bed care home in Urmston.
The “V” shaped design follows the line of the South East and South West boundaries of the site, running parallel to Bowfell Road and Brook Road. Despite being set back from the Southern corner, the care home addresses the junction to provide a prominent feature at this busy crossroads. The building has been designed to provide a flexible care home with all of the facilities that you would expect in a modern home. The bedrooms are arranged over 2 independent floors and ancillary accommodation is located within the roof space. A secure garden area for residents has been created at the South of the site, with overlooking balconies provided at first floor level. The design received no objections through the planning stage, it was unanimously approved and supported by all committee members with reference made to how well the design of the building responded to the site.
