New homes to be delivered in Selby following site demolition
Nine new homes are being built following the demolition of dilapidated buildings on Brook Street in Selby.
York-based DWA Architects has designed the new development to replace the recently demolished structure for Mack and Lawler Ltd, who is also carrying out the building work. It’s expected to be completed in Spring 2019.
It comprises of five semi-detached properties, two maisonettes and two flats.
David Ward, CEO of DWA Architects commented: “Our design of the new building has tried to complement the local environment, yet also deliver modern new homes. It will bring back to life this long vacant site and will be built to the highest standards and its good to be able to work on the project to its final delivery.”
Ward Associates, a sister company of DWA Architects, is providing on-going civil and structural engineering services on the project.
DWA Architects has worked on the site for over three years, initially securing planning permission and now delivering the new homes.
