Cavendish Park shortlisted in this year’s Pinders Awards
The recently completed project at Cavendish Park has been selected as a finalist in the category of best New Care Home (higher development budget) in this year’s Pinders Healthcare Design Awards, regarded as one of the leading award competitions in the sector.
The awards promote and recognise achievement in design and development in all care-related properties and are highly sought-after.
On first approach it does not look like a typical care home, more like a large traditional Mansion House. Throughout the concept work, site selection, design, and the process of building it we focused totally on creating a place where people will love to live and work. The internal and external spaces were designed to be full of character and feel like a place to call home.
DWA Architects have already won 12 Pinders Awards since 2006 for projects across the country.
Creating ‘aspirational places to live’ has a positive effect on outcomes for residents and consequently the staff who work there too. Though newly built, Cavendish Park looks more like a traditional building through its use of materials, styling and proportions, both outside and inside.
Cavendish Park has been designed to surpass the needs and desires of its residents and to incorporate many thoughtful and innovative features into the architecture.
The Pinders Healthcare Design Awards aim to promote and recognise the very best developments in all types of care-related property, whilst the Award categories seek to acknowledge the contribution made by home owners, designers and architects to the well-being and quality of life for those in their care. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on the 11th March 2020.
